Thornton can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Thornridge Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since October 15, 2024.

Thornton's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-7. As for Thornridge, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornton will venture away from home to face off against Hansberry at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Thornridge, they will face off against Rich Township at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
