Basketball Recap: Park Rapids Triumphs

Park Rapids won the last time they faced Frazee, and Ryan Carroll did his part to make sure it happened again. The Park Rapids Panthers walked away with a 69-57 win over the Frazee Hornets on Friday thanks in part to Carroll, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 19 boards. Carroll is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Landon Strasburg, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

The victory got Park Rapids back to even at 5-5. As for Frazee, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park Rapids will head out to face off against Pequot Lakes at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Frazee, they will venture away from home to square off against Barnesville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Barnesville will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Frazee surely won't give up without a fight.
