Basketball Game Preview: Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats vs. Pinckneyville Panthers

The Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Pinckneyville Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Anna-Jonesboro didn't have too much trouble with DuQuoin as they won 68-53. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Pinckneyville waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 71-51 margin over the Hornets. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 20 points or more this season.

Anna-Jonesboro's win bumped their record up to 12-15. As for Pinckneyville, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-3.

Things could have been worse for Anna-Jonesboro, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-44 loss to Pinckneyville in their previous meeting back in January. Can Anna-Jonesboro avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
