Dexter proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 15) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Penquis Valley Patriots 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-0 on May 5th.

Kallie Stone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Dexter secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Desiree Adams, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Dexter's record is now 9-5. As for Penquis Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Dexter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-5 defeat against Central on the 4th. As for Penquis Valley, they have also already played their next game, a 21-10 victory against Piscataquis on the 30th.
