It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Mena ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Nashville Scrappers 4-3. The win was nothing new for the Bearcats as they're now sitting on nine straight.

On the mound, she struck out nine batters over eight innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off ten hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
