Softball Recap: Warren Comes Up Short

Warren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Wheeling Park Patriots, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Saturday.

Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wheeling Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Parkersburg South at 5:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Wheeling Park, they will challenge Steubenville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
