Soccer Recap: Polytech Comes Up Short

Polytech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dover Senators. Polytech were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Dover apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Polytech's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Dover, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Polytech will venture away from home to take on Cape Henlopen at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Polytech's defense better be ready for this one: Cape Henlopen have averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season. As for Dover, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Concord on the 27th.
