Softball Recap: Schaumburg Takes a Loss

If Schaumburg was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Hoffman Estates on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saxons lost 17-0 to the Fremd Vikings on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Saxons seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Schaumburg's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Fremd, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Schaumburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-0 win against Waukegan on the 17th. As for Fremd, they will welcome Hoffman Estates at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a 22-game losing streak.
