Softball Recap: Whites Creek Takes a Loss

Whites Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-10 to the East Nashville Magnet Eagles. The Cobras were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 17-10.

Jamia Moore was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1. Moore is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of India Taylor, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-1.

Whites Creek's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-9. As for East Nashville Magnet, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whites Creek will welcome Pearl-Cohn at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cobras are facing the Firebirds at the right time seeing as the Firebirds are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for East Nashville Magnet, they will host University School of Nashville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
