Basketball Recap: Wilson Magnet Takes a Loss

Wilson Magnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 65-52 to the Bishop Kearney Kings. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Wilson Magnet's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Bishop Kearney, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season.

Wilson Magnet and Bishop Kearney could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. Wilson Magnet will take on East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 571 places (627 vs. 56). Similarly, Bishop Kearney (ranked 495th) will meet University Prep Charter (ranked 123rd) at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
