Baseball Recap: Hempfield Area Spartans vs. Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils
After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Hempfield Area was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils, sneaking past 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted since May 2, 2024.

Josh Cayer tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Hempfield Area is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-6 otherwise.
