Howland has gone a perfect 3-0 against McKinley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Tigers will be taking part in a tournament against the Red Dragons at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.
Howland is headed into the matchup having not lost since September 11 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Solon get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Thursday. Considering Howland have won ten contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
They hit Solon with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dimitri ( Mitch) Gentis (2), Aydien Brefczynski, and Luca Naples.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McKinley). Everything went their way against Mathews on Saturday as they made off with a 4-1 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for McKinley as it put an end to their eight-match losing streak.
McKinley picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-15. As for Howland, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1-1.
Howland took their win against McKinley in their previous meeting back in September of 2017 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Red Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
