Baseball Game Preview: Jeannette Jayhawks vs. Carmichaels Mighty Mikes

The Jeannette Jayhawks will head out to face off against the Carmichaels Mighty Mikes at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Jeannette will be strutting in after a win while Carmichaels will be coming in after a loss.

Jeannette is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Steel Valley on Thursday. The Jayhawks blew past the Ironmen 10-2.

Amari Thomas was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Rattigan, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Jeannette always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .650. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Steel Valley only posted an OBP of .348.

Meanwhile, Carmichaels unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 8-1 to Jefferson-Morgan.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Carmichaels, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2-1.
