Soccer Recap: Mt. Vernon Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Mt. Vernon's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pike Central Chargers on Monday. Mt. Vernon have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pike Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon will square off against South Knox at 7:00 p.m. on September 3. As for Pike Central, they will challenge Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
