Volleyball Recap: Scott Takes a Loss

Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Northview Wildcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

While Scott was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Northview's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11, 25-17.

Northview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Johnny Krolak led the charge by getting six digs and four aces. Drew Longardner also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Northview, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Scott does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northview, they will square off against Washtenaw Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
