Football Recap: Stratford Comes Up Short

Stratford fell victim to Minco and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by Minco 34-0. While losing is never fun, Stratford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Minco is ranked 89th).

Stratford's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Minco, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stratford is set to take on their familiar foe Christian Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Minco will face off against rival Wynnewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 5, the Savages 12.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
