Volleyball Recap: Pomona Victorious

Pomona's tournament run continued when they took on Thomas MacLaren School on Saturday. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Highlanders 2-1.

Ian Metzler paced Pomona's offense, picking up ten kills. Metzler got some help from Mitchell Cox and his 23 assists. Finally, Mason Kwiatkowski kept Pomona's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Despite the loss, Thomas MacLaren School still got an impressive performance from Kellen Vadala, who had 13 digs and four assists.

Pomona's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-17. As for Thomas MacLaren School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

Coming up, Pomona will be playing at home against Westminster at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Thomas MacLaren School, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Gateway on the 19th.
