Basketball Preview: Buffalo Bison vs. Poca The Dots
Buffalo has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Poca The Dots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buffalo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, Buffalo blew past the Panthers, posting a 72-44 win at home.
Buffalo relied on the efforts of Asher Flanery, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists, and Jackson Mallett, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Nicholoas Pitchford, who scored nine points along with three blocks and two steals.
Meanwhile, Poca's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sissonville.
Buffalo's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Poca, they dropped their record down to 8-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Buffalo suffered a grim 54-34 defeat to the The Dots in their previous matchup back in January. Can Buffalo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
