Softball Game Preview: Exeter Monarchs vs. Immanuel Eagles

The Exeter Monarchs will face off against the Immanuel Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Exeter came up short against Sierra Pacific and fell 8-5.

Meanwhile, Immanuel entered their tilt with Washington Union on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.

Amanda Herrera made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Herrera was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Watson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was 'China' Moreno, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Immanuel hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.

Immanuel's victory bumped their record up to 13-5-2. As for Exeter, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.
