Recap: Westover Patriots vs. Dougherty Trojans        
        
		
            
 The Westover Patriots were the  56-55 winner over the Dougherty Trojans when they last played one another  back in November, but their luck changed this time around. Westover took a  61-42 bruising from Dougherty on Tuesday. Westover's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the  team, making it three in a row.
 Westover lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Jada Landers, who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and ten  rebounds. Landers scored a full 28.6% of Westover's points, the fourth time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Sydney Donaldson was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points along with eight  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Westover  were smashing the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
  Jatiana Chambers was  her usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 22 points and ten  assists for Dougherty. Another player making a difference was  Jaliya Burns, who  scored eight points along with 11  rebounds.
 Westover has  fallen quite a ways from their 19-8 record last season and are now  at 1-3. As for Dougherty, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
 Westover will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against Valdosta at 6:00  p.m.  on December 8th. Valdosta presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Westover in Georgia (Valdosta is ranked 60th, while Westover is ranked 236th). As for Dougherty, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Hapeville Charter at 3:00  p.m.  on December 9th. Hopefully Hapeville Charter focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 33 on Friday.
