Trinity (Euless, Texas) takes over the No. 1 spot in the Southwest.

There is a new No. 1 team in the Southwest as Trinity (Euless, Texas) stands alone in this week's MaxPreps Regional Computer Football Rankings after being tied for the top spot with Allen last week.

Trinity replaces Allen as the top team and it is the only new No. 1 team this week. Allen had been the No. 1 team in the Southwest since the start of the season.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. For the purposes of these rankings, the country was broken down into five regions:



West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska, and Montana.

Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Midwest: Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

South: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Northeast: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.
