United Christian Academy has gone 8-2 against California Lutheran recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the C-Hawks at 3:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
United Christian Academy is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Sherman Indian on Friday. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Braves a 14-0 shutout. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Isaac Alvarez was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Christian Estrada was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, California Lutheran got the win against Sherman Indian on Tuesday by a conclusive 17-2. The win continues a trend for the C-Hawks in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won seven in a row.
Colton McGee made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, California Lutheran got a massive performance out of Christian Sutton, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Fedor Klochkov also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
California Lutheran's record is now 9-4. As for United Christian Academy, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. United Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like California Lutheran struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
United Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against California Lutheran in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the C-Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
