Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Athens Christian Preparatory Academy's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy won the last time they faced Trinity School of Texas, and Kiley Normandin did her part to make sure it happened again. The Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm took down the Trinity School of Texas Titans 36-21 on Friday thanks in part to Normandin, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 20 rebounds, and 20 blocks. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.6 points per game. As for Trinity School of Texas, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Athens Christian Preparatory Academy will head out to take on Providence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Athens Christian Preparatory Academy: 27.8, Providence Academy: 21.9) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Trinity School of Texas, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Mary's at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th.
