Baseball Game Preview: Lebanon Warriors vs. West Clermont Wolves

The Lebanon Warriors will take on the West Clermont Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

While Lebanon didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past West Clermont 8-1 on Monday.

Colton Cannon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bryce Bohman, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Mason Hurst, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Lebanon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.

Lebanon pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for West Clermont, they moved to 5-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

West Clermont's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lebanon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322.
