Flag Football Recap: Effingham County Rebels vs. Camden County Wildcats
After flying high against Savannah Christian on Tuesday, Effingham County came back down to earth. The Rebels were just a hair shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 13-12 to the Camden County Wildcats. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Effingham County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abbey Anderson, who picked up 25 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Ivyana Jenkins handled things on the ground, rushing for 87 yards.
It was another big night for Shania Hardy, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns for Camden County.
Having lost for the first time this season, Effingham County fell to 3-1. As for Camden County, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Effingham County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-21 defeat against Calvary Day on the 20th. As for Camden County, they have also already played their next contest, a 20-0 victory against Glynn Academy on the 21st.
