Soccer Game Preview: Heritage vs. Millbrook

The Heritage Huskies will square off against the Millbrook Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Heritage's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Millbrook's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Heritage is headed into the contest having not lost since March 10 and will look to keep things rolling. Their defense stepped up to hand Rolesville a 5-0 shutout on Monday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Heritage's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Millbrook faced Wake Forest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Neither the Wildcats nor the Cougars could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The result kept Millbrook happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 7th.

They hit Wake Forest with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jordan Davis, Gabrielle Sadosky, and Lucy Ellis.

Heritage pushed their record up to 7-1-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those five matches. Millbrook's draw makes their record 6-1-4 this season.
