Softball Recap: Rose Hill Rockets vs. Circle Thunderbirds
Rose Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 9-2 walloping at the hands of the Circle Thunderbirds. Rose Hill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Circle apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
Reese Goetz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
On Circle's side, Whitney Wilbur was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and only one walk). Wilbur was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Kendyl Acker was incredible, going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. Brynne Bowman was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
