Baseball Game Preview: Olympia Titans vs. Sunset Knights

The Olympia Titans will square off against the Sunset Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Olympia came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Jupiter by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Titans have suffered since February 25th.

Kingston Ebanks was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.

On the hitting side, Olympia saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Rathmann, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Sunset fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Master's Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 8-7.

Sunset's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 3.71 runs. As for Olympia, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
