Softball Recap: Segerstrom Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Segerstrom entered their tilt with Katella on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 11-3 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rebecca Lambaren made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Jaelene Bautista was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Samantha Padilla also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Segerstrom always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Katella only posted an OBP of .391.

Segerstrom now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Katella, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Segerstrom wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 21-3 win against Chaparral on the 22nd. As for Katella, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-2 defeat against Elsinore on the 22nd.
