Murray County is 8-2 against Rockmart since August of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Indians will square off against the Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Murray County came up short against Ringgold and fell 2-0. The Indians have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Rockmart also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe by a score of 2-0.

Murray County will have to keep a close watch on Lilly Griffin and Gracie Wilson, a pair of players who had a big impact on Rockmart's prior game. Griffin had nine digs and three aces, while Wilson had six digs.

Murray County's record now sits at 12-22. As for Rockmart, their record is now 11-32.

Murray County was able to grind out a solid win over Rockmart when the teams last played last Tuesday, winning 2-0. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
