Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gothenburg). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Valentine 73-45. The victory was familiar territory for the Swedes who have now won five matchups in a row.

Despite the loss, Valentine saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Paige Sprenger went 13 of 27 en route to 33 points and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sprenger has scored all season. Joni Cox was another key player, putting up four points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Gothenburg's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1. As for Valentine, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Looking ahead, Gothenburg and Minden will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Minden is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.9 points per game this season.
