Baseball Game Preview: Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs vs. Sand Creek Scorpions

The Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs will face off against the Sand Creek Scorpions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pueblo East hit Pueblo Centennial with a four-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs came up short against the Eagles, falling 10-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Sand Creek lost 14-1 to Falcon on Friday.

Sand Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avyn Walter, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Sand Creek's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Pueblo Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Pueblo Centennial took their victory against Sand Creek in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scorpions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
