Baseball Recap: Rangely Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Rangely, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 17-8 margin over the Moffat County Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hunter Fouch was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Rangely: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 1-10 otherwise. Fouch was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Rangely got a massive performance out of Bradley Lambros, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Lambros has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Trey Lewis also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Rangely always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Rangely's record now sits at 4-11. As for Moffat County, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-19.

Rangely has already played their next contest, a 12-0 defeat against Cedaredge on the 10th. As for Moffat County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-1 loss against Gunnison on the 10th.
