Volleyball Recap: Wilmington Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Wilmington came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Crete-Monee Warriors by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sami Liaromatis was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had nine digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high. Aly Allgood also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Wilmington was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Crete-Monee lost, don't look at Isis Shores. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and one assist.

Wilmington's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Crete-Monee, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Wilmington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Agricultural Science on the 20th. As for Crete-Monee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against St. Thomas More on the 20th.
