Baseball Recap: Terryville Comes Up Short

Terryville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Thomaston Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Kangaroos have suffered against the Bears since April 18, 2022.

Terryville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Thomaston, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-4.

Coming up, Terryville will square off against Nonnewaug at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Kangaroos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chiefs have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season. As for Thomaston, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-2 loss against Granby Memorial on the 17th.
