Basketball Recap: Clark Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

It was a Battle of the Birds when Clark faced off against Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus on Friday. The Clark Eagles enjoyed a cozy 55-40 victory over the Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus Ravens. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus lost, don't look at Cedrick Carter. Despite the final result, he shot 4-for-5 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards. Carter is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last 52 games he's played dating back to last season.

Clark has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus' loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 22-8.

Coming up, Clark will take on Montini Catholic at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Montini Catholic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
