Basketball Game Preview: Eastside Prep vs. Overlake Owls

Eastside Prep is 1-9 against Overlake since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Eastside Prep will challenge the Overlake Owls at 5:30 p.m. Overlake took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Eastside Prep, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Eastside Prep beat South Whidbey 34-26.

Meanwhile, Overlake suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Friday. They lost 46-24 to Bush. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Blazers are ranked 178th).

Eastside Prep now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Overlake, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Eastside Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Overlake in their previous matchup back in January, winning 46-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastside Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
