Basketball Recap: Tree of Life Christian Finds Home Court Redemption Against Delaware Christian

There's no place like home for Tree of Life Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 28-17 victory over the Delaware Christian Eagles on Saturday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Trojans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 577th, while the Eagles are ranked 255th).

Delaware Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Addy Beard, who posted five points and five boards. Beard is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooke Huffman, who put up six points.

With the victory, Tree of Life Christian broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-5. As for Delaware Christian, they moved to 10-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Tree of Life Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Genoa Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. As for Delaware Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-36 win against Shekinah Christian on the 13th.
