Basketball Recap: Woodward Comes Up Short

Woodward lost against Aiken back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Woodward Bulldogs took a blow against the Aiken Falcons, falling 89-46. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-30.

It was another big night for Jaiden Arnold, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 24 points in addition to six assists and five steals for Aiken. The contest was Arnold's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Hawkins, who went 7 of 14 en route to 20 points.

Woodward now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Aiken, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodward will welcome Hughes at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Aiken, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Withrow at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Aiken's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
