Softball Recap: Myers Park Takes a Loss

Myers Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Ardrey Kell Knights, falling 9-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in March.

Regan Godman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Myers Park's record now sits at 8-8. As for Ardrey Kell, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Myers Park will face off against Providence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 11.1 runs per game this season. As for Ardrey Kell, they will challenge South Mecklenburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
