Football Preview: Papillion-LaVista Monarchs vs. Omaha Central Eagles        
        
		
             The Papillion-LaVista Monarchs will head out on the road to  face off against  the Omaha Central Eagles  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Papillion-LaVista is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 31.8  points per game  this season.
 Papillion-LaVista is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Nebraska's top teams: Omaha Westside, who was ranked second  in their home state at the time (Papillion-LaVista was ranked 16th). Papillion-LaVista was  outmatched by Omaha Westside on the road  and fell  42-12. The Monarchs have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
 Even if they lost, Papillion-LaVista's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks.  Logan Holtmeyer was especially locked on to Omaha Westside's QB and sacked him twice. Holtmeyer has been hot recently, having also posted six or more  total tackles the last three times he's  played.  Meanwhile, Omaha Central entered their tilt with Fremont on Friday with three consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of  34-27.
  B.J. Newsome was  his usual excellent self, throwing for 289 yards  on only 19 passes.
 Omaha Central was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 260  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted  since  the start of last season.
 Papillion-LaVista's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Omaha Central, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Friday's   contest might be decided in the on the ground. Papillion-LaVista has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 149.8  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Omaha Central struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 168.1. It's looking like  Friday's  game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
 Papillion-LaVista might still be hurting after the  27-7 defeat they got from Omaha Central  in their previous meeting  on October 11th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of   Newsome, who threw for 301 yards  while completing 81% of his passes, and also rushed for 46 yards.
