Houston came tearing into Saturday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past the Baylor Red Raiders with a 71-65 win. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Red Raiders are ranked 48th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Houston's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.8 points per game. As for Baylor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Houston will host Arlington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arlington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.8 points per game this season.
