Volleyball Recap: Yurydia Rocha's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Williams over Pierce + How To Watch

Williams lost against Pierce back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Bears, falling 3-0. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Williams took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-22.

Williams lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Yurydia Rocha, who had eight kills and seven digs.

Williams suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 6-6. As for Pierce, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Williams has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Colusa on the 17th. As for Pierce, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Willows on the 11th.
