Grove City had won three straight at home, but on Saturday they bumped their record up to 15-7 to make it four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the University School Preppers, sneaking past 11-9. Grove City's victory was all the more impressive since the Preppers were averaging only three runs allowed on the season.

As for University School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-5. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this contest were averaging three runs allowed.

For University School's part, Jack Nelson was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Deacon Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grove City will venture away from home to face off against Upper Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for University School, they will face off against St. Ignatius at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Preppers surely won't give up without a fight.
