Softball Recap: Southeast of Saline Has No Trouble Against Smoky Valley

Southeast of Saline never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Smoky Valley Vikings. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 12 runs or more this season.

Karlee Zurfluh tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Southeast of Saline got a massive performance out of Abby Wyatt, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Heinrich, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Southeast of Saline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .743. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .545 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Southeast of Saline pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
