Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy walked away with it. They came out on top against KIPP University Prep by a score of 66-55 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy found their leader in sophomore Ryan Hayes, who went 9 for 17 en route to 22 points and five steals. Hayes has been hot, having posted 16 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Devan Hemphill II, who posted eight points and eight steals.

San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy pushed their record up to 21-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for KIPP University Prep, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-7 record.

San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Founders Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 20 games. KIPP University Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
