Softball Recap: West Iredell Warriors vs. Bunker Hill Bears
West Iredell extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 3-12. They lost 16-3 to the Bunker Hill Bears. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
West Iredell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Stikeleather, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
As for Bunker Hill, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 15-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.

West Iredell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-0 defeat against East Lincoln on the 17th. As for Bunker Hill, they have also already played their next game, a 13-0 victory against Newton-Conover on the 21st.
