Preview: WF West Bearcats vs. Black Hills Wolves
The WF West Bearcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Black Hills Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Monday, WF West lost to Battle Ground at home by a decisive 68-52 margin. WF West has not had much luck with Battle Ground recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Tyler Klatush, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for he. Lucas Hoff was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Black Hills came up short against Tenino on Friday and fell 53-45.
WF West's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Black Hills, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
WF West and Black Hills were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January, but WF West came up empty-handed after a 67-66 defeat. Can WF West avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
