Basketball Recap: Southland Academy Comes Up Short

Southland Academy was the 51-19 winner over Georgia Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Southland Academy Raiders were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 43-42 to the Georgia Christian Generals.

Southland Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Georgia Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southland Academy will take on Terrell Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Terrell Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Georgia Christian, they will face off against Southland Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
