Softball Recap: Bishop Moore Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bishop Moore can now relate to. They fell just short of the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Barracudas earlier this season, when they won 13-2.

Ariana Lara made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabrina Griffin, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Bishop Moore has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for New Smyrna Beach, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-14.

As of now, neither Bishop Moore nor the Barracudas have any future games scheduled.
